The project is to renovate an apartment of around 540 sq feet, situated in Como, Northern Italy., With the purpose of creating a modern and unique home décor, Andrea Castrignano has collaborated with Lago Italy – the premium furniture manufacturer that is well-known for its modular, light, simplistic and, most important of all, made-in-Italy products.
Practical
With the emphasis on simplicity and elegance, Castrignano and Lago decided to not to implement any visual flair elements into the project, and instead placed the focus on the spaces, lighting and colors. This is achieved by combining different spaces such as the living room and the kitchen. This bold move cannot be done without the unique products from Lago.
Light
Trying not to blow the kitchen out of proportion, every kitchen cablinet is customized storage unit from Lago’s 36e8 series, which strikes a perfect and proper balance with the living room area. Castrignano has made a delicate play on the cabinents’ color, by contrasting its dark color with the light colors emitted from the walls from the living room, immersing the kitchen in the process. As for the living room area, the sofa, bookshelves, dining table and coffee tables ,from the Lago’s award-winning Air series with its trademark glass base and support, successfully generate a broad vision over the place and a sense of spaciousness.
Stylish
Right at the moment anyone set their foot into the bedroom, chances are the line of sight will point to the extraordinary headboard made of glass fiber. Again, with the purpose of integrating the bedroom into the overall color profile and themes of the project, the bedroom is not an exception: the glass legs from the Air Bed seem to levitate off the ground, creating the feeling of sleeping in a cloud.
